Let's Get Physical

Greta had another physical therapy appointment today. So, like all good moms, I advised her to strap on her leg warmers, sweat bands, and her best running shoes. She did great. Andrea, her physical therapist, said she is doing awesome and we can slowly start tapering her visits. Greta initially started because of a tightening of her neck muscles from her head trauma. Thankfully, her muscles are stretching out and her head swelling is gone! (She has some loose skin, but her skull will grow into it.)

Also, does she look like Dave or is it just me?
(You carry around a mammal in your uterus for 9 months, deliver the baby---however it happens----and the child looks like your spouse. Not sure how nature works sometimes.)

SOOOO tired

Greta has been doing her part to maintain the sanity of this family by sleeping a 5 hour stretch during the last two nights. WHOO HOO. However, during the early afternoon, she isn't so much fun......after an alert 4 hours with no shut-eye during One Tree Hill and Giada, here HER lies:

1). Note the Red IU teeshirt that is now acting as a blackout drape. I couldn't find any Michigan teeshirts and I am wearing my only dark Saint Joseph's College teeshirt....

2.) Also note the amazing mullet, er, skullet that she is fashioning. NO hair in the front, and a beautious waterfall in the rear.)

I am slowly building my arsenal (and courage) of reusable diapers. Thanks to a VERY generous "donation" by my Aunt Mary, I am not packing 9 diapers. Yes, 9!!! Now, if I could just get the courage to use them without the hose/toilet attachment-----(The first time I used a diaper-the other day-Greta had a HUGE blowout. I then remembered I didn't have the hose attachment to wash away the waste into the commode....yep, I had to the ol' dip-a-roo. NOT FUN.) Bringing the Outside In

One of Greta's favorite hobbies is looking outside while simultaneously falling asleep. She is able to commune with nature and breathe fresh air. However, it has been quite hot down here in Southern Indiana, so this activity takes place behind a window. I googled if C.P.S. found this activity to be under the "child abuse umbrella" and thankfully, it isn't.

Arsenal of Gear

Like most babies, Greta is overwhelmed with gear. Toys, blankets, diapers, but most importantly, activity centered gear. Here is a snapshot of what we're talking about.....

That's right, folks. TWO swings and an exersaucer......that doesn't include a bouncy seat, her bucket bed, floor gym, activity mat, or her pack n' play. Want to know her favorite activity so far? Staring at the ceiling fan. (It came with the house. Wasn't even on our registry.)
