Yea God

Pepe Doug is living out his fantasy---His first grandchild, riding the Puma in the Halleck Center at SJC.

Pam and Paul Muller made the trip all the way from Kansas City to give Greta her baptism. They are amazing friends and supporters of Greta. Paul and Pam both went to SJC with Mom and Dad. Paul's son, Wade, is my dad's god-son. It was a blessing to have such a personalized ceremony for Greta.

Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Koch.

The Norton clan. It was amazing to have all of us together----Kyle (glasses) is getting deployed for the third time to Afghanistan in March. We are incredibly thankful for his service.

Pepe and Nona---Greta had her game face on.

The men in Greta's life (minus Great Pepe and Uncle Joey).

Greta's baptismal gown has been worn by her Uncle Joey, Aunt Dana, as well as her Nona. It fit her perfectly. She liked it so much, she licked the material just to make sure it met her standards.

Greta was baptized in a beautiful ceremony officiated by Deacon Paul Muller, SJC alumni (and Dad's BFF). It was truly magical to have a wonderful friend bless Greta-----Dave's family and my family were present---it was such a special day. I feel truly blessed by such a wonderful "village" to help Dave and I raise Greta. Greta missed her Uncle Joey and Auntie Dana---she can't wait to see them at Jennie's wedding in a few weeks.

Bounce with me, bounce with me

Jay-Z told Greta to bounce. Here t'is:

Greta had her 4 month check up this past week. Her NEW stats:

Weight: 16.5 lbs
Height: 25 3/4 inches
Head Circumference: 42 cm

She is in the 95th percentile for all the categories. She must be big because of the abundance of German blood pumping through her baby veins.
We were suppose to be on our morning walk........

When Dadda is left to "watch" Greta while Mommy is cleaning. Beans is also to blame.

Her first go at the exer-saucer.

The look in her eye says it all.

Apparently Dave's fingers taste as delicious, if not better, than hers.

Greta loves her Auntie Dee Dee. Apparently, when experiencing the out-of-doors in Michigan, one must stick out their tongue to absorb the fresh air.

Greta displaying her keen whistling skills. She was summoning her sissy, Biscuit.

Greta enjoying the stream and ducks at the Cider Mill.

Someone's favorite part of the day......when Daddy gets home! Greta spends the majority of her day listening to me talk. When Dave gets home, she has SO much to say-------he can get her to laugh uncontrollably, which is hilarious. Every time I try to get it on video, she has stopped. Maybe next time.

She is currently sitting in her seat watching the Tigers game. Roar!

Side note: Greta made a special shopping trip to the IU Bookstore to find some nice basketball gear for her friend Jack and his soon-to-be baby sister.

4 months!

This is the Shire dwelling where Greta came from.

Greta LOVES her Uncle Chris. LOVES HIM.

Notice the hickey on her right wrist? Yes, she gave herself a hickey after sucking on her wrist for about an hour. Super classy.

Our little unicorn is 4 months old! She would like to thank Kady Becker for the adorable onesie. She is wearing her "BOO" onesie a bit early---Halloween is still a few weeks away. We have briefly discussed Halloween costumes, but she is still up in the air. She either wants to be either a unicorn or Madonna from the 80's.

Good Morning! Auntie Dana has headed to Cincinnati to see her friend, Jill. Greta and I are keeping things in check on the homefront, awaiting her arrival tomorrow. (Auntie Dana is spoiling Greta with lots of love for the past two weeks.) Greta anxiously awaits Dana, but more importantly, watching the Tigers win tonight! Go Tigers!

Nana

(Greta--two weeks old)

Greta is fortunate enough to have a wonderful neighbor, Nana. Nana, a.k.a. Nancy Busenbark, spoils Greta at every turn with lots of hugs and kisses, blankets, and the occasional outfit. Nana also spoils her grand-puppies with treats---Beans and Biscuit are trained to run to the fence first thing in the morning for their treat (and any other time they are let outside to do their business/chase a squirrel). Greta and I just went next door for a visit. Greta had so much fun, she fell asleep and Nana loved every second of it (because Greta fell asleep while being held). Greta is lucky to have a Nana in her life.

This is what I missed this weekend. :(

The Mitten Frigging Rules

BIG night in the Norton house tonight-----We are still celebrating the sweep of Michigan sports teams this weekend....University of Michigan, Michigan State, Detroit Tigers, and the Detroit Lions.

In preparation for tonight's Tigers playoff game, Greta is doing her best to show her support (onesie, compliments of her future suitor, Mr. Jack Becker). It is imperative our Michigan teams continue to do well. Greta's mom talks entirely too much trash in her current resident state, Indiana.

Greta is already being schooled on the importance of being a University of Michigan/Lions/Tigers/Red Wings fan. She doesn't have time for the Colts or the Blackhawks (sorry Uncle Chris).

Go Tigers!

(**Did you notice the blue background teeshirt? Yep. Greta's mom representing the great state of Michigan too----Moosejaw. We keep in real here in Indiana. Holler.)
